About

Meet Matt

I’m Matt Williams, a fourth-generation Loomis resident. My wife, Jenifer, and I live here with our two children, who attend local public schools.

I own Gourmet Garage Catering and Bella Familia Pizza, Loomis food businesses that employ 20 local people. For 12-plus seasons, I have been Del Oro High School’s head ski and snowboard coach, working with hundreds of student athletes and seeing our schools through their eyes.

As vice president of the Loomis Basin Education Foundation, I helped put more than $8,000 into each of our six local schools this year. I am also a member of the Loomis Lions Club.

As a small business owner, I know you can’t spend what you don’t have. PUHSD’s 2026–27 budget projects spending more than it takes in. That must be addressed by spending on what matters most for students and being straight with voters about the numbers.

My roots here run deep, and I’d be honored to earn your vote.

The plan

Matt’s Priorities

Four commitments to the students, families, and educators of Trustee Area 5.

  • Students First

Every board decision should be measured by what it does for students.

  • Academics & Career‑Technical Programs

Strong academics, plus career-technical programs that teach real-world skills.

  • Decisions Made in the Open

Board business done in public, and straight talk with voters about the numbers.

  • Oversight, Not Micromanagement

The board sets policy and oversees the budget, empowering educators instead of micromanaging school operations.
